My process for making this photo is complex.  Originally I had trees in the background below the sky.  But due to complications with the clouds I had to remove them due to a tiny but noticeable light blue outline around the trees.  I'm glad I dod remove this because the stormy clouds send a much better message.  The birds were originally all black.  I was displeased at this and it didn't look too good to me.  So I took the birds out of his face and left holes from which they came from like a cookie cutter.  Then I added fog and layered that so it gave a much thicker cloudy appearance.
